Manage DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, TXT)

If your domain uses our nameservers, you manage its DNS records in the control panel.

  1. Log in to your control panel and open your website.
  2. Go to Domains.
  3. Click the ⋮ menu next to your domain and choose Manage.
  4. Open DNS records, then click Add record or edit an existing one.
  5. Choose the record type, enter the hostname and value, and save.

Common record types

  • A: points a name to an IP address.
  • CNAME: points a name to another name (for example www).
  • MX: tells the internet where to deliver your email.
  • TXT: used for verification (Google, Microsoft) and email security (SPF, DMARC).

Tip: Changing MX records moves your email to another provider. Only change them if you are switching email services.
